CHN Energy Delegation Visits Huairou Laboratory

On September 20, a delegation led by Liu Guoyue, Chairman of CHN Energy, visited Huairou Laboratory for a research exchange. The meeting was chaired by Tang Guangfu, Director of Huairou Laboratory and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. Yan Guochun, Deputy General Manager of CHN Energy, along with members of Huairou Laboratory's leadership team, attended the meeting.

Tang Guangfu provided a detailed overview of Huairou Laboratory's development over the past three years since its establishment. He emphasized that the Laboratory adheres to the new national system, focuses on strategic, forward-looking, and fundamental scientific and technological research in the energy sector and plays the role of an innovation platform. In the cooperation between the two sides, he said, the status of CHN Energy as a central SOE innovator remains unchanged. He expressed hope for both parties to use the Clean Energy Research Center (Institute) as a focal point to implement the institutional mechanisms of new research organizations and jointly conduct scientific and technological research, contributing to China's goal of achieving high-level scientific and technological self-reliance.

Liu Guoyue thanked Huairou Laboratory for its long-standing support of CHN Energy's work. He stated that CHN Energy, rooted in its mission as the "ballast stone of energy supply and pioneer of energy revolution," is accelerating its development into a world-class clean and low-carbon energy technology leading enterprise. Liu expressed hope for further cooperation between the two parties in organizing and implementing major national science and technology projects and in the construction of the Clean Energy Research Center (Institute). He emphasized leveraging the Laboratory's institutional advantages and CHN Energy's industrial foundation and application scenarios to drive technological innovation through major engineering projects.

Key personnel from relevant departments and units of CHN Energy, as well as heads of various departments and affiliated units of Huairou Laboratory, participated in the meeting.
