Director Tang Guangfu Invited to Deliver Keynote Speech at 2024 Pujiang Innovation Forum

Recently, the 2024 Pujiang Innovation Forum's Frontier Technological Development Forum was held at the Zhangjiang Science Hall in Shanghai. The session, themed 'Frontier Technologies: Shaping the Future, Fostering Innovation and Collaboration,' concentrated on the advancement of cutting-edge technologies. Renowned experts and scholars from both home and abroad were invited to engage in in-depth exchanges and dialogues regarding the current status and future trends of key technological fields, with the aim of promoting the deep integration of scientific and technological innovation with industrial innovation, accelerating the development of new-quality productive forces, and supporting Chinese-style modernization through the power of science and technology. Vice Minister Long Teng of the Ministry of Science and Technology attended the event and delivered an opening address.
Nine distinguished academicians and experts, including former Vice President Gan Yong of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Professor Dan Stamper-Kurn from the University of California, Berkeley, Dean David Srolovitz of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Hong Kong, Vice Chairman You Zheng of the China Association for Science and Technology, President Hassan Charaf of Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Director Tang Guangfu of Huairou Laboratory, President Tan Tianwei of Beijing University of Chemical Technology, President Hasan Mandal of the World Association of Industrial and Technological Research Organizations, and President Fang Xiang of the National Institute of Metrology of China, presented keynote speeches covering areas such as artificial intelligence, quantum technology, new energy, and advanced materials.
Director Tang Guangfu delivered a keynote speech titled "China's Energy Transition Pathways and Key Frontier Technologies." The presentation focused on the current state of China's energy sector, its transition goals, and challenges, providing a comprehensive discussion on the pathways and critical measures for transformation in the energy domain; and also analyzed core and frontier strategic technologies that are pivotal for the transition from the perspective of our country’s major needs and transition to low-carbon energy, offering references for the construction of China's new energy system.
