"Yanqi Energy Forum" & Working Meeting for the Second Anniversary of Huairou Laboratory Successfully Held in Beijing

On July 31, the "Yanqi Energy Forum" & Working Meeting for the Second Anniversary of Huairou Laboratory were successfully held in the Beijing Yanqi Lake International Convention & Exhibition Center. Attendees of the event included Yu Yingjie,Deputy Mayor of the People's Government of Beijing Municipality, Sui Zhenjiang, member of the Party Leadership Group of the People's Government of Beijing Municipality, Tang Guangfu, Huairou Laboratory Director and Academician of the CAE, leaders from relevant departments and divisions of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission, Administrative Commission of Zhongguancun Science Park, and Huairou District Government.

Tang Guangfu, Huairou Laboratory Director, reviewed the work of the Laboratory in the past two years and looked forward to the future work of the Laboratory. Five academicians and six experts of the Laboratory gave academic reports in relevant fields and showcased the scientific research results of the Laboratory in the past two years. They also touched upon aspects such as mutual learning, exchange and fusion of scientific research teams, improvement of organizational efficiency, abilities to tackle scientific and technological problems, etc.

Yu Yingjie congratulated the Laboratory on its achievements in the past two years and affirmed its approach of deepening industry-university-research collaboration and carrying out organized scientific researches. He expressed the hope that the Laboratory should continue its efforts and effectively enhance its sense of responsibility, mission and urgency while bearing the "top priorities of the country" in mind. He hoped that the Laboratory could forge ahead, pioneer and innovate with the drive to be the first and best and strive to build a new type of scientific research institution with world-class standards.

Sui Zhenjiang expressed his care and support for the Laboratory's undertakings, and put forward ardent expectations for its future development. Leaders from relevant departments and divisions of the Ministry of Science and Technology affirmed the achievements of the Laboratory in the past two years while raising clear requirements for key work in the future. Yu Qingfeng, Huairou District Mayor, said that Huairou District would continue to provide vigorous support to the development of the Laboratory.

Tang Guangfu expressed his gratitude to the leaders, academicians and experts for their trust, support, care and help, and thanked the hard work and selfless dedication of every employee in the Laboratory. He hoped that all employees could continue to work hard with joint efforts and aim at the big goals of promoting the Laboratory to achieve high-quality development and play an irreplaceable role in China's national energy strategy.

More than 700 staff members participated in the event.
