Director Tang Guangfu Meets Hydrogen Energy Experts from Forschungszentrum Jülich and Hiroshima University

On March 19, Director Tang Guangfu met with a delegation of hydrogen energy experts, including Professor Simon Thiele and Professor Serhiy Cherevko from Forschungszentrum Jülich, Germany, as well as Professor Yoshitsugu Kojima from Hiroshima University, Japan. The discussion centered on advancing hydrogen energy technology and strengthening international collaboration.

Director Tang warmly welcomed the three international experts. He emphasized that China is actively advancing its energy transition and striving to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. In this process, hydrogen energy will play a pivotal role in the future energy system, which requires joint efforts and collaboration with international counterparts. The experts then shared their insights on the challenges facing hydrogen energy technologies, including production, storage, transportation, and utilization, and participated in in-depth discussions.


Director Tang stated that Huairou Laboratory remains committed to open cooperation, adhering to the principles of scientific development while actively fostering international collaboration and exchange. The Laboratory is dedicated to sharing resources with universities, research institutions, and enterprises worldwide, working together to drive research innovation and technological breakthroughs in the energy sector, and contributing to the global energy transition and low-carbon sustainable development.
