Director Tang Guangfu Invited to Deliver a Special Lecture at NDRC’s Second ”Dual Carbon“ Lecture Series

On March 20, 2025, the second session of the NDRC’s "Dual Carbon Lecture Series" was held in Beijing. The event featured a keynote lecture by Tang Guangfu, Director of Huairou Laboratory and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and was chaired by Zhao Chenxin, Vice Chairman of the NDRC.
Director Tang delivered an in-depth lecture titled "Accelerating the Construction of a Next Generation Energy System to Achieve Dual Carbon Goals." He systematically analyzed technological innovation and development trends in China’s energy sector, covering key topics such as the current state of China’s energy development, pathways for building a next-generation energy system, key technologies, and the role of national strategic scientific and technological capabilities. He emphasized the critical role of energy transformation in achieving the "Dual Carbon" goals─carbon peaking and carbon neutrality.
The event was attended by approximately 350 participants, including staff from the NDRC, the National Energy Administration, NDRC-affiliated units, as well as representatives from relevant industry associations and enterprises.
