Huairou Laboratory Holds the Third Anniversary Work Conference

On July 31, Huairou Laboratory held a conference marking its 3rd anniversary. Yu Yingjie, Member of the Standing Committee CPC Beijing Municipal Committee, and Sui Zhenjiang, Member of the Party Leadership Group of Beijing Municipal Government, attended the meeting along with leaders from relevant departments of the Ministry of Science and Technology and the National Energy Administration, as well as officials from Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission, Zhongguancun Management Committee, and Huairou District.

Laboratory Director Tang Guangfu reviewed the work of the past three years, comprehensively summarized the scientific research achievements, and made systematic plans for future development. Shu Yinbiao, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, delivered a speech on behalf of the laboratory's strategic advisory committee. Fifteen CAE academicians, including Li Licheng, Peng Suping, Yue Guangxi, Zhou Shouwei, Ding Rongjun, Sun Longde, Liu Jizhen, Chen Weijiang, Hao Fang, Xie Zaiku, Rao Hong, Jiang Peixue, Gao Xiang, Lyu Junfu, and Chen Zhongwei, attended the meeting.

During the conference, the Laboratory held an achievements promotion meeting and a signing ceremony for transformation cooperation intentions. Academicians Liu Jizhen, Yue Guangxi, Chen Weijiang, and Professors Zeng Rong and Cui Xiang were invited to promote projects. They provided detailed introductions to six achievements, including efficient flexible coal-fired power generation technology, advanced circulating fluidized bed boiler technology, submarine cables, IGCT devices, next-generation converter equipment, and silicon carbide devices, covering aspects such as industrial demand, patent layout, application scenarios, and transformation models.

Regarding these six achievements, the Laboratory signed cooperation intention agreements with eight industry-leading enterprises, including Inner Mongolia Power (Group) Co., Ltd., Taiyuan Boiler Group Co., Ltd., Qingdao Hanhe Cable Co., Ltd., Sinopec Qilu Branch, CRRC Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Research Institute Co., Ltd., China XD Electric Power Engineering Co., Ltd., XJ Electric Co., Ltd., and Anhui Changfei Advanced Semiconductor Co., Ltd. They will jointly promote the transformation and implementation of these achievements through technology licensing, equity investment, and other means. After the signing ceremony, the Laboratory rewarded the research team that took the lead in achieving technology transformation with a dividend.

This conference established a promotion platform for the Laboratory's scientific research achievements and expanded cooperation channels for industrial enterprises and investment institutions to actively participate in the Laboratory's construction. Moving forward, the Laboratory will coordinate scientific research and achievement transformation, drive technological iteration through application scenarios, stimulate innovation vitality through achievement empowerment, encourage social forces to form diversified investments, promote the deep integration of innovation chain, industrial chain, and capital chain, and contribute to the development of new-quality productive forces.

Responsible officials from the Science and Technology Departments of Shanxi Province, Xinjiang Autonomous Region, and Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, leaders from cooperative enterprises such as CRRC Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Research Institute Co., Ltd. and Inner Mongolia Power (Group) Co., Ltd., representatives from investment institutions including China Chengtong Holdings Group Ltd., Bank of China Beijing Branch, ZGC Group, Three Gorges Capital Holdings Co., Ltd., State Grid Yingda International Holdings Group Ltd., and China Reform Fund Management Co., Ltd., as well as representatives from the Laboratory's functional departments, research teams, and affiliated units, totaling over 260 people, attended the meeting.
