Strategic Cooperation Agreement Signed Between Huairou Laboratory and the People's Government of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region

On July 14th, Huairou Laboratory and the People's Government of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Beijing. Sun Shaocheng, Secretary of Party Committee of the Autonomous Region; Wang Lixia, Chairperson of the Autonomous Region; Yu Yingjie, Member of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee; and Tang Guangfu, Director of Huairou Laboratory, attended the signing ceremony.

Huairou Laboratory is a significant component of China's national science and technology strength focusing on strategic, foundational, and forward-looking scientific innovation in the energy sector. Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, endowed with abundant energy resources, plays a vital role as an important national energy and strategic resource base in ensuring national energy security and exploring green and low-carbon transformation and development.


According to the agreement and following the principles of "complementary strengths, shared platforms, and shared resources," the two sides, with the Inner Mongolia Energy Research Institute as a link, will deepen cooperation in areas such as technology demonstration and verification, transfer and transformation of scientific and technological achievements, cultivation and exchange of scientific and technological talent, and construction of innovative platforms, to lay a solid foundation for high-level science and technology self-reliance and strength, thus effectively safeguarding national energy security.


Bao Xianhua, Vice Chairman of the Autonomous Region, Sun Junqing, Vice Chairman of the CPPCC Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Committee; Wang Song, Deputy Director of the Department of Major Projects of the MOST; Wang Li, Deputy Secretary-General of Huairou Laboratory; Dong Anyou, Assistant Director of Huairou Laboratory; and relevant responsible officials from the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission also participated in the signing ceremony.
