Release Time:2023-01-09

On December 14, 2022, the expert review meeting for Huairou Laboratory's conceptual design scheme of coal-fired power generation was successfully held. The expert review meeting was held in the form of "on-site + Tencent Meeting". A total of 15 experts, including Sun Rui, Senior Consultant of China Electric Power Planning & Engineering Institute, Liu Wei, Chief Engineer of Huaneng Power International, Wang Zhifeng, Director of the Institute of Electrical Engineering of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Ding Yanjun, a professor at Tsinghua University, were invited to the meeting. Sun Rui served as the leader of the expert group. All members of the coal-fired power generation research team of Huairou Laboratory attended the review meeting.

With the research goal of improving the flexibility of coal-fired power generation units, research team of Huairou Laboratory brings together scientific and technological forces from universities, enterprises and other parties to jointly tackle core technologies. The scientific research team, with an attitude of being scientific and rigorous and striving for excellence through joint efforts, introduced in detail the conceptual design scheme to improve the flexibility of coal-fired units from the overall perspective and five sub-items, including boiler, turbine generator and control strategies. The experts attending the meeting carefully reviewed the conceptual design scheme, conducted in-depth questioning and discussions, and put forward a number of constructive opinions on the selection of the pulverized coal preparation system, the primary frequency control of the unit, etc.

After discussions for a full day, the expert group unanimously agreed that the overall conceptual design scheme for coal-fired power generation and the design plans for the five sub-items proposed by the scientific research team were feasible, laying a good foundation for the subsequent conceptual design work. So the expert group decided that the conceptual design scheme for coal-fired power generation passed the review.
