Vice Chairperson Sun Junqing of the People's Government of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Visits Huairou Laboratory

On August 20, Vice Chairperson Sun Junqing of the People's Government of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region led a delegation to Huairou Laboratory. There, they met with Lab Director Tang Guangfu to discuss how to further implement the strategic cooperation agreement between Huairou Lab and the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and jointly advance technology verification and engineering demonstration in key areas such as flexible coal-fired power generation and smart grids. Relevant leaders from the People's Government of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and the Region's Science and Technology Department, as well as Wang Li, Deputy Secretary-General of Huairou Lab, and responsible persons from the Lab's relevant departments attended the meeting.
Sun Junqing expressed her gratitude to Huairou Lab for its long-term support and assistance to the science and technology work in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. She stated that the Autonomous Region, following the overall deployment of the Region's science and technology conference and based on the strategic cooperation agreement, will leverage the Region's resource advantages in wind, solar power and coal, and scenario advantage of the power grids, to fully support demonstration and transformation of the Lab's new technologies and equipment in the Autonomous Region, drive breakthroughs in science and technology, and lead the development of new quality productive forces.
Tang Guangfu expressed his appreciation for the support that the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region has provided to Huairou Laboratory over the years. He hopes that both sides can deepen their cooperation further, make full use of the Lab's innovative institutional mechanisms, combine them with the technological application scenarios in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, jointly create an innovative research and development platform, accelerate the iterative validation of core technologies, and better serve the major strategic needs of our country's energy sector.
