Huairou Laboratory and CRRC Sign Strategic Cooperation Agreement

On February 26, Tang Guangfu, Director of Huairou Laboratory and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, met with Sun Yongcai, Chairman of CRRC Group ("CRRC" for short), and his delegation. The two parties signed a strategic cooperation agreement. CRRC Vice Presidents Yu Weiping and Liu Ke'an, along with members of Huairou Laboratory's leadership team, attended the meeting.
Tang Guangfu provided an overview of the laboratory's progress since its establishment and reviewed the history of cooperation with CRRC. He stated that Huairou Laboratory, adhering to the new national system, focuses on strategic, forward-looking, and fundamental scientific research in the energy sector. CRRC, as a global leader in high-end equipment manufacturing and system solutions, boasts a comprehensive product range and cutting-edge technology. It is also a key enterprise in clean energy equipment. Tang expressed his hope to leverage CRRC's strengths in research and industry to deepen technological innovation in the energy sector. He emphasized that signing the strategic cooperation agreement would provide an opportunity to jointly advance the IGCT device project, offer solutions for building a next-generation power system, establish a collaborative model between the laboratory and central enterprises for research and the transformation of research achievements, and accelerate the development of new-quality productive forces.
Sun Yongcai expressed his gratitude for Huairou Laboratory's long-standing support for CRRC. He noted that CRRC is committed to building a new industrial development pattern centered on "dual tracks and dual clusters" in rail transit equipment and clean energy equipment. The company is actively transferring advanced rail transit technologies to clean energy applications, aiming to become a leader in green manufacturing, a creator of green lifestyles, and a pioneer in green development. Sun highlighted that Huairou Laboratory is a core force in China's national energy strategy and expressed his expectation for closer, expanded, and accelerated cooperation between the two parties. He looked forward to the early implementation of the IGCT device project and deeper collaboration in areas such as next generation power system solutions, testing and simulation, standard development, and talent cultivation.
Representatives from CRRC's Science, Technology, Quality and Informatization Department, Strategic Planning and Investment Department, Digital Intelligence Department, Zhuzhou Institute, Zhuzhou CRRC Times Electric Co., Ltd., and CRRC Qihang New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., as well as relevant leaders of Huairou Laboratory and its affiliated units, attended the meeting.
