International Academic Exchange on "Renewable Energy Development and Marine Foundation Solutions" Successfully Held

On June 17, 2024, the laboratory invited Professor Tian Yinghui, an ARC Future Fellow and tenured professor at the University of Melbourne, to conduct an academic exchange. Professor Tian delivered a lecture titled "Renewable Energy Development and Marine Foundation Solutions." Approximately 30 researchers from the laboratory attended the event.

Professor Tian has over twenty years of research experience in marine geotechnics and was awarded the David Hislop Award for Best Paper in Marine Engineering by the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) in 2017. He has published over 200 academic papers.

During the event, Professor Tian introduced his research team and presented the latest research achievements in marine engineering foundation solutions, floating offshore wind power, submarine cables, as well as the life extension, decommissioning and recycling of marine infrastructure. The event was met with enthusiastic responses, with researchers actively asking questions and engaging in academic discussions with Professor Tian and his team, thus connecting with the forefront of international academic information.
