Targeted Talents

Research Staff: Researchers who have obtained a doctoral degree and hold positions equivalent to associate professor, associate research staff or above in renowned research institutes and universities, or hold senior positions in R&D departments of internationally renowned enterprises.

Associate Research Staff: Researchers who have obtained a doctoral degree; hold formal positions in renowned research institutes, universities or R&D departments of renowned enterprises; three or more years of work experience in relevant fields.

Assistant Research Staff: Fresh PhD graduates from renowned universities.

Post-doctoral Researchers: Doctoral students who have obtained degrees from renowned universities in the last three years.

Huairou Laboratory is a pioneering national scientific research organization established in 2021. Following the strategic objectives of high-efficiency constructing clean, low-carbon, energy system and of "carbon peak, carbon neutrality", the laboratory is committed to strategic forward-looking and fundamental scientific and technological research; to innovating a new scientific research regime that is goal-oriented, open and collaborative; to gathering talents from home and abroad; and to accelerating key technological innovation breakthroughs and the transformation and application of major scientific achievements.

Huairou Laboratory is located in Beijing Huairou Comprehensive National Science Center, which is one of the four major centers in China. This Huairou Center, at the foot of the Great Wall and on the shore of Yanqi Lake, provides the laboratory with splendid natural and cultural environment which is extremely crucial for dedicated scientific research. The center accommodates a large number of innovative entities such as University of Chinese Academy of Sciences,institutes of Chinese Academy of Sciences, as well as central enterprises. Cooperating with its neighbors, more than 30 large scale scientific facilities, science and education infrastructures, and cross-research platforms builtin the center are accessible to Huairou laboratory.

The laboratory has offices and experimental sites in Beijing Huairou Science City and Beijing Changping Future Science City. It operates three centers, including Beijing Institute of Smart Energy, Next-Generation Power System Research Center, Renewables Research Center. It also operates two research bases in Shanxi for clean utilization and conversion of coal, and in Xinjiang for oil and gas exploration and conversion.

The laboratory has established strategic cooperation with more than 30 central energy enterprises, high-level research universities and industry-leading enterprises. Benefiting from the various strategic cooperation and our flexible employment regime, we have set up scientific research teams of nearly 1,000 talents.
